Welcome to Brinsley Primary School

BRINSLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL

MISSION STATEMENT

At Brinsley Primary School, we are very proud of our school, pupils, families and their achievements. Our school enables all children to achieve their full potential regardless of race, gender, religion, culture, social class or disability. We believe our school is special and the relationships we develop with our children, their families and the wider community enable us to create a school atmosphere which is welcoming, inspiring, secure and where everyone’s opinion is valued.

Children from the school council have devised our school motto-

‘Believe in Yourself’

and guiding principles, for the school and it’s community to follow to ensure our mission statement is achieved. These are as follows:-

Golden Rules Make a Golden School

Be a Good Friend

Be a Positive Learner

Be the Best You Can Be

Be Focused

Be There For Each Other

We have a 40 place Foundation Stage Unit which takes children from the term after they are 3 years old.  We hope that this will be the start of a very successful partnership, with parents, staff and children working together to ensure the best possible learning environment for each and every child. Our primary aim is to make learning FUN!

Starting school is a major event in your child’s life; by working together we can make this a happy and enjoyable time for everyone, especially your child. All staff are available before and after school should you have any concerns, so please feel free to come and talk to us.

Our school has outstanding community links with Brinsley Animal Rescue Centre and we sponsor Rocky the Kune Kune Pig!

We are fortunate enough to have the Pre-School Learning Alliance on site who cater for children from 6 weeks old and provide wrap around care from 8am-6pm including school holidays. We also have Surestart who run activities for parents and toddlers on a weekly basis.

Brinsley Primary School is situated between Eastwood and Underwood in a semi-rural location. The school is close to Junction 27 of the M1.
